Surface Rights Pricing Transparency Mapping Project

The Farmers' Advocate Office (FAO) is currently requesting that landowners send in copies of their surface lease, transmission line, seismic, and pipeline right-of-way agreements.  They are requesting copies of seismic and pipeline right of way agreements no older than 2011, and surface lease and transmission agreements no older than 2010.

Data from these agreements will be used to create four interactive maps providing project details and compensation values paid to landowners. By providing a range of values under the heads of compensation, the maps will be a valuable resource for Alberta landowners involved in negotiations. 

As new negotiations are continuously underway, They will be accepting agreements and updating the maps on an ongoing basis. 

Any agreement containing a privacy clause will not be accepted. Please do not send originals, as your documents will not be returned. Submissions will be securely destroyed after the pertinent information has been retrieved. Please send copies of your agreement to:

NOTE: All submissions must be accompanied by a Consent to Release of Information Form. Names and contact information will not be released through the maps. Legal land description to the section will be depicted.
