Hands-On Range Health Assessment Training

There is still a little bit of time to register for one of the Hands-On Range Health Assessment Training days coming up this month.

The courses will provide an understanding of the importance of healthy functioning rangelands and the key indicators used to measure rangeland health and feature a curriculum flexible to a variety of experience levels.  The Range Health Assessment protocol is an important tool for pre-site assessments, reclamation design and monitoring in native grassland.


Foothills Restoration Forum  will continue to accept registrations until they can no longer supply enough coaches to maintain instructor-student ratio.  Registration fees are $150.00 per person.  You can register via the links below.  You can also register or request additional information by replying to Donna Watt at this email address (corpirate@shaw.ca). 


The first course, scheduled for Thursday, September 11th, 2014 will focus on the Mixedgrass and Dry Mixedgrass Natural Subregions in the Cypress Hills and Manyberries areas.

The second course will be on Tuesday, September 16th 2014 at the Agriculture and Ag-Food Substation, Stavely, Alberta.  This full day course will provide training in the Foothills Fescue Natural Subregion.
